Accommodation

garden

The front door opens into the hallway with stripped pine floor leading to TV/play room with open fire, sofa, and armchair. The adjacent room is the sitting room with leather sofas and wood burning stove.

We have recently added a substantial kitchen diner which for us is the hub of the cottage. It is equipped to a very high standard with granite work surfaces and quality appliances. The dining area overlooks the garden and is a great place to watch the sunrise and the garden wildlife.

The bathroom is also located downstairs, within easy reach of the bedrooms, and comprises an Edwardian style suite with power shower over the bath together with a hand held shower (ideal for keeping little ones sand free after a day at the beach).

A second toilet is located in the cloakroom just off the kitchen, within easy access of the garden.

There are two double bedrooms and one with two single beds. All have stripped pine floors with rugs, and feature original fireplaces.

The cottage sleeps six people comfortably in three attractive cottage-style bedrooms on the first floor overlooking the surrounding countryside.

garden

The garden is another world in itself.

Broadly speaking it's half an acre of lawn, with some hawthorne and blackthorne hedging (full of birds), a handful of fruit trees - greengauge and apple - and a small selection of flowering plants and shrubs to keep the butterflies happy.

With the trampoline to keep the children happy, it's a great place to chill out in!
